3 Best Ways to Lose Stubborn Fat without Hitting the Gym

Spot reduction or losing fat from a specific part of the body remains the biggest challenge for people trying to lose weight. Many times, we notice that one particular part of our body is a little “chubbier” than the rest and this is enough to give us sleepless nights! If you have experienced this, then you probably suffer from the common problem of cellulite or stubborn fat. Not being able to get rid of such flabby areas has been a frustrating issue for many girls, because the unattractive, dimpled appearance usually hits areas like arms, tummy, thighs and ankles.

We give you three ways to tackle this problem, without slogging it out in the gym every day. Read on to know what they are:

1. Refuse to live with cellulite

Did you know that you might actually be living with the culprits causing stubborn fat to keep building on? The first step to getting rid of this problem is accept the fact and refuse to continue with it! Here is how:

If you smoke or drink, be warned that it puts a lot of pressure on your body’s lymphatic system, which can lead to stubborn weight gain. One of the most crucial things you can do towards aiding spot reduction is to quit smoking and drinking.
Drink at least 7-8 glasses of water every day to hydrate your body well. Water improves blood circulation to every cell of your body, thus flushing out toxins.
Maintain a healthy diet pattern. This means including lots of green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet. Avoid junk food, fizzy drinks (including the diet ones!), processed foods like chips, namkeen, and other greasy, fried snacks. Also, limit your sugary and salty food intake as it aggravates fluid retention.
Talk to your health professional about your ideal weight and stick in the range. Losing and gaining weight too often can lead the skin to sag and it can become very difficult to tone.

2. Add these fun elements to your routine

Who said you have to follow a military routine to lose fat? We assure you that you can pamper yourself silly and still get rid of the tough cellulite. Unbelievable? Read on to believe.

Use a loofah every single day while bathing. This simple trick stimulates blood and lymph flow, removes dead skin and encourages new cell growth. If not a loofah, you can even use a towel.
Bathe in warm water, not too hot, and finish with a cold shower. The warm water will open the pores on the skin and cleanse you, while the cold shower will give a gentle toning effect.
Go for regular body massages and sauna bath twice a month. Massages definitely don’t melt away the fat, but they promote circulation in the cellulite ridden area and make the reduction faster along with diet and exercise.

3. You do not need a gym!

It is a myth that you need to workout crazy in a gym every single day to get in shape. You can do it with easy exercises in the luxury of sitting in your own room, your terrace or garden, or a nearby park.

Make sure to exercise regularly- at least five times a week. This can include your favourite Bollywood dances, zumba, or simple spot jogging. You can choose your favourite form of activity, but get moving!
Exercises that include a lot of stretching are very helpful. Yoga or swimming for instance, can help make your body flexible. With yoga, you can even have asanas for specific parts of the body, thus targeting the cellulite.
Other aerobic exercises like jogging, skipping, cycling, running, etc. help a lot when it comes to dealing with cellulite. You can do this in the comfort of your home or garden. The only thing to remember is being regular.
