Good health was some time ago considered by us as being able to undertake some physical exercise. But in course of time, the concept of good health changed tremendously. Now, health means your overall health. It means good health to be mentally, emotionally and physically healthy. For this, you need to start as soon as possible. Based upon my personal experience, I can assure you that you too can have good health if you undertake sincerely the following steps:

1. How to become active from lazy
Give Up your inactivity. If you remain inactive for a long period, it may make you angry or sometime frustrated. Lethargy and depression can also grip you. You need to be active regularly to upkeep your mental health. Your regular practice of being active can bring about better mood, give more energy and positive thinking for a better life.
2. Exercise regularly to stay healthy
Undertake some physical exercise daily. It depends upon you what type of physical exercise you can undertake easily but daily. It is not necessary that you must undertake running or walking for 25 miles or lifting double of your bodyweight. No, simple walking for shorter distances, swimming, some yoga, playing with kids, riding a bicycle or cleaning your own house can ensure your physical activity. Those who can undertake intense exercises may do 4-5 times a week and for the rest days, they may go for lighter activities.
3. Strength Training and heavy weight lifting for females
Whenever there be an opportunity, we must prefer for strength training and heavy weight lifting for some time. These two exercises help us in weight management, enhanced our energy levels and also better glucose metabolism. We can use our own bodyweight and lift barbells, dumbbells and kettlebells etc.
4. Benefits of cardio exercise everyday
Cardio is one of the most important exercises to burn fat, lose our weight or improve our health. We can afford distance jogging, sprinting, circuit training or kickboxing. It is significant to know that intense options in cardio exercises ensure better results for improving body composition and growth hormone production.
5. Balancing body weight and fat levels.
To avoid fatal diseases like heart attack, diabetes, hypertension etc, we must have control over our body weight as excessive body weight, extra fat or thick muscle damages our joints and can affect our activity in our old age. We must keep watch over them.
6. Body Mass Index : Ideal body weight
Body Mass Index, which we call it BMI in short, is though not accurate but indicates us approximate ideal condition of our body weight in case we do not have unnatural huge muscles due to the prolonged use of steroids. We must try to maintain ideal flexibility and mobility by touching our toes regularly. The muscles get tough with the passage of age. Mobility and flexibility in our body reduces day by day. For example, at the age of 5 years, the flexibility of body remains tremendous but as we grow up, we feel tightness in our muscles. If we work out, our body can remain flexible as long as we work. We should be able to touch our toes throughout our age.
To ensure mobility and flexibility, we can start our workouts with 10 to 20 minutes on joint mobility and finish them with 5 to 10 minutes of stretching. This can be undertaken through extra activities when we are on off days.
7. Importance of a Balanced Diet
Sufficient water and Nutrients play vital role in enabling our body to function properly. Without sufficient carbs, you may not be able to undertake intense workouts. High dose of protein can damage your kidneys. We need to be careful about our intake of eatables in terms of their nutrients. We can try a number of sources. For example, protein can be obtained from fish, eggs, red meat and dairy products as well. Each source has different mineral and vitamin mix. Water too plays a great role in our body as it is responsible for activating more than 70% of the body elements. We must be careful that our body must not face dryness for long period.
8. How to avoid junk food cravings and alcohol
Due to short of time, junk foods are on the favorites list but regular consumption of them is not considered friendly to our body. We may have 20 percent of our total requirement of the calories from the junk food in a week in case it is not irresistible in our social meetings.
Keeping in view the present life style complicated by the paucity of time, we have to take junk food to meet our hunger from time to time. But regular intake of junk foods may harm you due to many chemicals and preservatives used in their manufacture and cooking. We must limit their use to the maximum possible.
Similarly, frequent use of alcohol must also be avoided. Though medically, a small quantity of alcohol once or twice in a week can improve your health, the addiction of limitless use can prove fatal to your life.
9. Overcoming negative emotions and stress management tips
Say no to excessive stress and emotional negativity. Excessive stress and emotional negativity play bad role in up-keeping your health, whether you undertake work-outs or take good meals always. Your feelings of anger, frustration, depression and negativity depreciate your decision making power and energy levels. Kindly don’t let them take over you fully. However, a small dose of anger can be fruitful for keeping your low blood pressure balanced but that too must not be permitted to hamper your emotional relationship.
10. Benefits of Smiling and Laughing
Always try to Keep smiles and do laugh. In our childhood, we never care when to smile and laugh. With the passage of time we mature and try to avoid smiles and laughing. But it is not always good. A smileless face gives gloomy picture. We must try to keep smile on our face whenever it is possible. For a few minutes every day, we should have good laugh. This exercise can be undertaken even while going for morning walk or in company with the friends or family. This relieves you of your stress and makes you healthier.
11. Reasons Why Sleep is Important
A Good sleep everyday can solve multiple problems. During 6 to 8 hrs sleep every night, we recover from the daytime fatigue and re-consolidate ourselves. Insufficiency of sleep results into stress next day. It creates tiredness and poor hormonal profile reducing your muscle mass also. It is therefore advisable to have good sleep every night.
