Best Kids’ Christmas Party Games

Christmas is coming! I am sure you will put a lot of efforts to decorate your home, create Christmas cards and do lots of other holiday activities. Perhaps, you are looking for some fun Christmas games for your and not only your kids. You’ve come to the right place, because I’ve got the list of 8 best and incredibly fun Christmas party games that children will surely love.

1. Berry guess

Berry guess is a nice game which makes the children learn new things andhave plenty of fun! All you need is to hang a large bunch of mistletoe and ask the children to count its berries. Let the kids stand on a stool one after one and count. When each of them has finished, count how many berries are there. The child who counted the most of the berries wins.

2. Gift relay

To prepare for this game, you’ll need to wrap two exactly similar boxes with wrapping paper and tape. After that make two teams and place these gifts either on the floor or on a table. Next, every child should unwrap it, then rewrap the box, run back and give a way to the next participant. And the team which makes the task first will get the prize. It can be everything you want inside these gifts.

3. Visit from Santa

I think the best way to celebrate a Christmas Eve with children is to call Santa himself to make the holiday more hilarious. Simply hire a Santa or tell your husband to be one and play with the children, present gifts to them like true Santa does and sing all together ‘Jingle Bells’!

4. Throw my snowball gift

For the next game, you need to wrap the gifts in snowballs, which are made from white paper and cotton, and put it under the Christmas tree. Ask the children to line up, when you are going to present the gifts, throw them one after the other to the children. It’s a wonderful way to get a gift, agree?

5. Pass snowballs through the wreath

To get ready for this kind of game, you have to hang a wreath on a door at a suitable height and prepare snowballs from white paper and cotton. Make them in advance. Let the children stand at a convenient distance from the wreath, then give everyone 3 snowballs and one by one they should throw it through the wreath. The kid who throws all the snowballs through the wreath becomes the winner.

6. Ornament hunt

This game is very simple; just hide all kinds of Christmas decorations all over your home. After that make teams and let the kids find the decorations. And the group that finds most of the decorations will win!

7. Santa says

Well, it’s actually the Christmas variant of the game ‘Simon says’. This is called ‘Santa says’! A leader (a grown-up) begins it with, ‘Santa says’ and claps three times, then the children begin clapping and the game continues. By the time the words ‘Santa says’ are not heard and if some children still perform the activity, they’ll have to leave the game. And the last who sits down is the winner.

8. Pass the parcel

‘Pass the parcel’ is one of the great traditional games but with a twist! Just take a box, put there all kinds of Christmas goodies such as erasers, candies and chocolate kisses and wrap it with several layers of wrapping paper. Children should give the parcel to each other whilst the Christmas music is playing. But when it stops, the child who has the parcel should unwrap it. Keep doing this until each of them opens the parcel, then open the box yourself and give the sweets to every child.
