Buy your next Mobile on EMI

Buy your next Mobile on EMI : It is almost impossible to emphasize the importance of mobile phones in this day and age. Mobiles have proven to be the remote control of our lives for the last ten years or so. Given how everything runs on phone apps, not owning a phone is nothing less than a death wish. Mobile phones are smarter, more powerful, and cheaper now than they’ve ever been.

While one can get their hands on a cheap phone without a problem, that phone may not be enough to do the trick. The big sharks of the mobile world like Samsung and Apple have phones that go for as high as 60000. Even the entry-level phones by these brands prove too costly for most of the Indian population. Fortunately, there is a way out, and that is getting a mobile on EMI.

While India has bought into online shopping in a big way in recent times, the idea of purchasing a mobile on EMI doesn’t seem to sit well with most of the Indian population. However, if you’re one of those who are okay with the idea of getting a mobile on EMI, the following are some ways you could get started.

Flipkart EMI On Debit Card:

This is for customers who do not use or wish to use a credit card. This feature is integrated with the Flipkart app. It makes for a convenient method of payment if you plan on purchasing a mobile on EMI. However, the downside to this option is that it is currently available only to HDFC bank users. If you have an account in HDFC, be sure to have this option activated.

Snapmint:

Snapmint is an easy to use service that is supported by Flipkart, Amazon, and Samsung. It currently offers 0% interest should you choose to opt for the three month EMI to buy a mobile on EMI. However, Snapmint does require an initial down payment.

Bajaj Finserv:

Finserve is a zero-cost EMI option for electronic goods heavily advertised by online and offline retailers. The number of EMIs they offer depends on the product. The EMI option for a mobile on EMI may be different for that on a TV. Flipkart supports Bajaj Finserv. It is important to note that your first transaction must be at an offline retail store if you’re not a Bajaj Finserv customer.

ZestMoney:

Just like the first option, ZestMoney proves to be an easy way to avail EMIs without a credit card. ZestMoney is associated with online merchants like Amazon, Flipkart, and Sangeetha, which makes it easier for you to purchase your mobile on EMI. The only downside here worth noting is the fact that you are required to upload your documents every time you wish to buy a mobile on EMI.

NIRA Finance:

Here’s another EMI option that does not require you to have a credit card. Just like two of the options mentioned earlier, you should have no problem purchasing a mobile on EMI using your debit card. However, NIRA does have criteria that you have to meet before you can buy a mobile on EMI. NIRA requires the customer to be an Indian citizen aged between 21 and 65. The customer also ought to have a college degree and should have worked for a minimum of six months, earning at least Rs. 20000.

There you have it. If you’ve decided to take the plunge and buy a mobile on EMI, the options mentioned above should give you some clarity.
