What is a Hollywood Smile?

A Hollywood Smile is a series of procedures designed to restore the aesthetics, integrity, and functionality of your teeth by addressing the following issues:

  • Yellowed enamel
  • Interdental gaps
  • Unaesthetic shape or size
  • Partial or complete adentia
  • Malalignment
  • Malocclusion
  • Chips, cracks, cavities, or worn enamel

Not only aesthetically pleasing, the Hollywood Smile is a good choice for your dental health

Alongside treating visible dental defects, we at Tetri’s Smile direct our focus on underlying problems through comprehensive neuromuscular dentistry. In addition to the smile of your dreams, we promise:

  • No more grinding or pain
  • No more hypertonicity of muscles
  • No more dental abrasion

How would a Hollywood Smile affect your appearance and dental health?

Straight, snow-white teeth will make you feel more confident. This confidence will have a positive effect on your professional and personal life.

The new smile will transform your whole appearance, since teeth are the framework for muscles and skin. Problems such as sunken cheeks or lips and nasolabial folds will disappear. Neuromuscular dentistry can help you appear up to 15 years younger.

TMJ function will properly stabilize. Jaw crunching or clicking will go away. Constant headaches, shoulder and neck pain, migraines and limited mobility of your lower jaw will become a thing of the past.

Proper reconstruction of your dentoalveolar system can help to get rid of scoliosis, since your posture depends on the proper alignment of your teeth.

Getting the Hollywood Smile of your dreams

Everyone’s path to a Hollywood Smile is unique, for it depends on your personal clinical case report. Here’s how we treat common obstacles.

  1. Unsatisfactory enamel color

During the first visit, we clean your teeth of plaque and tartar using ultrasound or AirFlow technology. During the second visit, we whiten your teeth using Zoom4 or KöR.

  2. Teeth abrasion, pain, or grinding

The patient should be treated with neuromuscular dentistry. We use TENS to relieve facial muscle spasms. Then, we restore facial proportion by placing veneers or crowns on damaged teeth. This sufficiently returns proper function to your temporomandibular joint and eliminates clicking or grinding.

  3. Teeth crowding

Consequently, we first treat our patients to restore their ideal bite with braces or aligners for 3 to 5 months, and only then do we place veneers.

  4. Partial or complete adentia

We replace each lost tooth with an implant. We then place a crown to match the color of the adjacent teeth. We use the All-on-x / All-on-6 method to achieve a Hollywood Smile if you are missing most of your teeth.

We then take digital impressions using PIC technology. Only two clinics in Florida use this technology. These impressions allow us to craft your denture with an accuracy of up to 5 microns.

How much does a Hollywood Smile cost?

The price of the perfect smile varies depending on the amount of work required.

The exact price of your Hollywood Smile will be determined after a comprehensive diagnosis and preparation of your treatment plan.

What does this process look like?

1. Data collection

The dentist uses a digital arch to determine the position of the upper jaw. Then, they take impressions using Sirona Primerscan. After that, a photo is taken to obtain a facial scan and perform an axiography to consider the type of movement of the lower jaw. A myography is performed to evaluate the state of the masticatory muscles and detect hypertonicity in the masticatory muscles.

2. Digital smile modeling

The dentist loads the data into Exocad. They use it to model the shape and size of the teeth according to your anatomy, age, and wishes.

3. Creating a mock-up

The dentist prints a virtual jaw model with restored teeth on a 3D printer in the dental lab. Then, they take a silicone impression and fill it with a special material. The patient bites down on it and holds it in place for several minutes. After the material hardens, the dentist removes the impression, allowing the patient to assess the preliminary result.

At this stage, the dentist adjusts the shape and size of the teeth according to the patient’s wishes. The enamel is treated and the veneers are crafted after the final result has been approved. After the diagnosis and approval of the treatment plan, the patient knows exactly how long it will take to achieve the Hollywood Smile, what it will look like, and how much it will cost.

FAQ

What is the service life?

The service life depends on the technique used to create Hollywood Smile, alongside how closely you follow your dentist’s recommendations:

  • Whitening effect lasts up to 3 years
  • The effect of teeth alignment with braces or aligners is permanent
  • Implants come with a lifetime warranty
  • Veneers, crowns, or bridges last from 15 years

What if I am afraid of pain?

There’s no need to worry about pain. All procedures are performed under local anesthesia. Zero stress or discomfort.

You won’t feel any pain, even with an edentulous jaw All-on-X / All-on-6 restoration. We use oral sedation in combination with local anesthesia.
